Actor Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was on Monday night arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly creating pornographic films and publishing them through some mobile applications. "Businessman Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Crime Branch in a case relating to the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. He appears to be the key conspirator. We have sufficient evidence regarding this," Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said. The case was registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps.

"We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on July 19, 2021, as he appears to be the key conspirator of this. We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress please," Nagrale said in a statement.

After the arrest of Raj Kundra, actress Sagarika Sona Suman has come forward and made a shocking revelation regarding the case. This is a big racket of porn movies. It involves big people. Raj Kundra's name has come up. I also had a bad experience during the lockdown, claims Sagarika Sona Suman.

“In August 2020, I got an offer to work in a web series,” said Sagarika Sona Suman. When I said yes, I got a call from Umesh Kamat, the managing director of Raj Kundra's company. I decided to audition online. After I joined the video call I was asked to audition nude. I was shocked, and I turned down the call, claims Sagarika Sona Suman. Also there were three people in this video call. One of them had his face covered, while the other was mostly Raj Kundra. Sagarika has also demanded that if he is involved, he should be arrested and the racket be exposed.

Meanwhile, laws in our country are very strict regarding pornography and pornographic content. Such offenses are registered against the accused under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with the IT Act. The IT Act was amended to provide harsher punishments to the accused in such cases as the use of internet increased. With the use of the Internet, the trade in pornography has grown exponentially. This includes photos, videos, text, audio, and other material based on sexual activity and nudity. Anti-Pornography Law applies to such content published or sent electronically.
