Beed Shocker: One Dead, Two Injured in Knife Attack Over Social Media Post Dispute; Accused Held

A tragic and horrific incident of crime has came to light from Maharashtra's Beed were a 23-year-old man was killed and two others suffered seriously injured after Knife attack. According to reports the attack was over a dispute linked to social media post. This incident occurred on Monday February 16, 2026 at Ruinalkol in Ashti tehsil. 

Following this incident police have arrested two accused including minor. According to PTI, the conflict emerged when two suspects identified as  Nilesh Gujar and a minor, confronted three victims. The dispute was over provocative post on platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp which escalated to violence.  Gujar allegedly stabbed one of the victims, Deepak Nalkol, in the back, resulting in his death.

Two other victims Balu Khodke and Shashikant Lambade, were brutally attacked and are currently in critical condition at a private hospital.  Police have filed complained against the deceased brother  charges of murder and attempted murder have been pressed, and the accused are now in custody.

Deepak Nalkol died in the incident, and Balu Khodke and Shashikant Lambade are in critical condition at a private hospital in Ahilyanagar district, police said.
