Raj Thackeray in a recent interview, indirectly hinted that he would be open to resolve the issue with his brother and Shiv Sena UBT leader Uddhav Thackeray for the good of state. Following which Sanjay Raut also stated that Uddhav Thackeray is also thinking about this in a positive way. Amid this Raj Thackeray, who is on a foreign tour, has instructed party leaders not to talk about this issue till April 29, MNS leader Prakash Mahajan told reporters on Monday.

Talks about Raj and Uddhav Thackeray coming together again have been going on for the last two days. There are different reactions from leaders of both parties regarding this. Banners have been displayed in many places in the state demanding that the Thackeray brothers come together, while MNS Mumbai city president Sandeep Deshpande, Kamgar Sena president Manoj Chavan, Mumbai city vice-president Yashwant Killedar, Chitrakarma Sena president Amey Khopkar have taken a stand against the alliance. Against this backdrop, this instruction given by Raj to party leaders is considered important.

Raj expressed his initial desire to form an alliance with Uddhav. On this, Raj's special friend, BJP leader Ashish Shelar, stated that he was giving up on many years of friendship. On this, our party, leader, Raj's family, we are all in shock because Shelar broke the friendship. We are very sad and some have given up food and water. We are worried about how to get out of this sadness, said MNS leader Mahajan. Shelar should have known that no one can make Raj agree to anything by putting a gun to his head. MNS has never fielded a candidate against Shelar. Raj Thackeray is the king of the world of friendship. Mahajan also commented that losing a friend like him is a sign of intellectual bankruptcy.
