The temperature is rising to 43 degree Celsius the risk of heatstroke has significantly increased. The Public Health Department has recorded that over the past two days, 12 patients suffering from mild to moderate heatstroke were treated at Primary Health Centers across the district, while three individuals including a 6 month-old infant were found to be exhibiting symptoms of heatstroke at rural hospitals.

On Wednesday, April 29 afternoon, the family of a 6-month-old girl from Devgaon Rangari admitted her to a rural hospital after her health deteriorated. After receiving initial medical treatment there, she was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (Ghati) for further care. However, doctors at Ghati confirmed that the child was never admitted to their facility. Over the past week, two individuals from Pachod were diagnosed with symptoms of heatstroke. They received treatment at the Pachod Rural Hospital. Health Department officials reported that both patients have since been discharged from the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Health Department of the Zilla Parishad (District Council) confirmed that between April 27 and 28, 12 patients with mild to moderate heatstroke were treated at various Primary Health Centers throughout the district.  Doctors noted an increasing number of patients visiting private hospitals with complaints such as heatstroke symptoms, headaches, weakness, vomiting, and diarrhea. Patients often describe their condition to doctors using colloquial terms like "sunstroke" or "heat exhaustion."

Precautions to Take- Avoid stepping outdoors, if possible, between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.- Drink plenty of water, buttermilk, lemon water, and fruit juices.- Cover your head with a cap or a handkerchief.- Wear light-colored and loose-fitting clothing.
