The vehicle of school education minister and Hingoli district guardian minister Varsha Gaikwad was hit by a tempo near People's Bank in the city on July 10 at around 12.30 pm. The vehicle of the Guardian Minister was slightly damaged. Police have arrested the tempo driver. Hingoli Guardian Minister Varsha Gaikwad has been visiting Hingoli district since July 9. On Saturday, a meeting of the district planning committee, Corona status review and agriculture department was held in her presence.

She inaugurated the Oxygen Production Project at Government Hospital, Akra on 10th July in the morning. After that, around 12.30 pm, her team had left to inspect the Ramlila ground in Hingoli. As her team approached the People's Bank, a tempo was speeding along the main road. Within a few minutes, the tempo hit Gaikwad's vehicle. The tempo brushed past Gaikwad's vehicle, causing minor damage to the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

Police arrested the tempo driver after the incident and took him to the city police station. After that, Guardian Minister Varsha Gaikwad inspected the Ramlila ground. Meanwhile, no case was registered against the tempo driver at Hingoli city police station till 2 pm.
