In Latur city, a case has been registered against an assistant professor at a pharmacy college on Katpur Road for allegedly leaking a B.Pharm examination question paper on social media before the scheduled time. Police said that on Saturday, April 25, 2026, the written examination for the B.Pharm course was underway. Assistant professor Atul Limbaraj Kadam was appointed as the centre in-charge at this exam centre. At around 1:22 pm, he downloaded the question paper of subject NM-45 on a computer. However, by 1:45 pm, the same paper, along with centre code 973, was found circulating on students’ mobile phones.
The university’s preliminary inquiry confirmed irregularities in the incident. Following this, college principal Shriniwas Bachchuyya Bumre filed a complaint at Vivekanand Chowk police station. Based on the complaint, an offence was registered against assistant professor Atul Kadam under Sections 3 and 4 of the Maharashtra University, Board and Other Specified Examinations (Prevention of Malpractices) Act. Police inspector Santosh Patil is supervising the investigation, while sub-inspector V.S. Mule is carrying out further probe. Authorities are also investigating whether any other individuals were involved in breaching exam confidentiality and circulating the paper.
