The state’s school education minister Varsha Gaikwad said HSC and SSC results can be expected by mid-July and end of July, respectively. The education minister informed reporters that there has been a delay in the evaluation of answer sheets and the results for HSC would be declared by mid-July and the SSC is expected by the end of July 2020. Varsha Gaikwad was addressing a press conference to discuss the schedule for schools reopening in the state after the state government issued an SOP on tentative schedule when she was asked about the delay in declaring board examination results.

She said, “Due to Covid-19 situation, we faced a problem in getting the answer-sheets to examiners, but it was done by May-end. We are hoping to complete the process as soon as possible as even we are aware of the delay. Hopefully, before the end of July, we should be able to declare the results.” The announcement has come as a great relief for nearly 20 lakh students, who are expecting their Board Exam Results soon. According to reports, 13 lakh students have appeared for HSC Exams while around 17 lakh students have appeared for SSC Exams.
