Maharashtra: Two Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Tempo In Beed; Police Probe On

A theft incident reported in Maharashtra's Beed areas where a two history sheeters were arrested for allegedly stealing tempo. The theft took place on Tuesday May 5, 2026 and police began to investigate the matter. 

After initial investigation, police went through the CCTV footage from the area and arrested the accused identified as  Umre alias Papya Mustaque Farooqui and Avesh alias Avadya Khanja Shaikh, both with cases against their names.

Meanwhile in Pune,  a celebration turn into a chaos in Yerwada after a gang of armed individuals barged into a Mehndi ceremony and snatched a gold chain worth Rs 5 lakh from a guest, leaving attendees in shock. In connection with this case, the Laxminagar police have registered a case of robbery against five individuals and have subsequently arrested them.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Santosh Kachi and Yash Kachi , Datta Raghunath Chavan, Sushil Suryakant Gaud, and Yash Deepak Sawant. Nandu Arjun Kachi lodged the complaint regarding this incident at the Laxminagar Police Station. The Mehndi ceremony was underway at the residence of Sunita Kachi in the Sangamwadi area of ​​Yerwada around 10:00 PM on April 27.
