A man was shot at the Pune-Ahmednagar highway on Tuesday afternoon. The shooting took place near Lonikanda village on the highway.

The incident has created an atmosphere of fear among the residents of the area. According to details, Sachin Shinde was shot dead by an unidentified man on the Nagar-Pune highway around noon. The accused, fled the spot after firing two shots at the victim.

The victim Sachin Shinde has been admitted to a private hospital with serious injuries and is said to be in a critical condition. The police have visited the spot and have launched probe to nab the accused.

Crime like this in Pune district are increasing day by day. This is the third such incident in the last one month.
