Mumbai traffic police issues advisory for Sena Dussehra 2023 rallies

The ruling Shiv Sena and its rival group led by former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray will be holding their Dussehra rallies at Azad Maidan and Shivaji Park today respectively. Amid this, the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory the Dussehra rallies.For the Sena UBT rally in Shivaji Park, no vehicles will be allowed on these road: SVS Road from Siddhivinayak Mandir Junction to Kapad Bazar Junction; from Raja Badhe Chowk junction to Dadar's Keluskar Marg (North) junction; Mahim's Lt. Dilip Gupte Road Junction on Pandurang Naik Marg for Southbound traffic; Gadkari Chowk junction to Dadar's Keluskar Road (south); Dadasahaeb Rege Road From Senapati Bapat Statue to Gadkari Junction, as per media reports.No Parking is allowed in these Dadar and adjoining areas: SVS Road, Keluskar Road (South and North), MB Raut Road, Pandurang Naik Marg, Dadasaheb Rege Marg, Lt. Dilip Gupte Marg, NC Kelkar Marg, LJ Road, Rajabade Junction, Gadkari Junction, as per media reports.
For the ruling Shiv Sena's 'Dasara Melawa' in Azad Maidan, these roads will remain closed:

-Mahapalika Marg (CSMT Junction to Vasudev Balawant Phadake Chowk (Metro Junction) Both Bound;

-Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Vasudev Balawant Phadake Chowk (Metro Junction) to Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (O. C. S. Junction) Both Bound.

-Hajarimal Somani Marg :- Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (O.C.S Junction) to CSMT Junction.

-Falton road to CSMT

As per the advisory, there shall be no parking on Mahapalika Marg, Hajarimal Somani Marg, and MG Road.

As many as 12,449 lower-rank personnel, 2,496 officers, 45 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 16 Deputy Commissioners and half a dozen Additional Commissioners of the city force are being deployed across the financial capital, he said. Besides the Mumbai cops, 33 State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) platoons (around 100 each), Quick Response Teams and Home Guards are being mobilised for duty for the multiple events in the metropolis, said the official.
