Nagpur: Teen Boy Stabbed to Death During Rivalry Over Love Affair, Police Probe On
Nagpur: A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death by another teenager on Tuesday late evening over the love affair rivalry. In connection with this case the Kalamna police have rounded-up four juveniles on Wednesday. According to TOI report, the victim was in a relationship with a girl for one-and-a-half year but she later became close to another boy. As per police, the victim along with his friends had recently barged into his rival's house to settle score, but the latter managed to give a slip.
The conflict stemmed from a love triangle: the victim's girlfriend had grown close to the rival after a year-and-a-half relationship. Recently, the victim and his friends had attempted to confront the rival at his home, but he escaped. In retaliation, the rival ambushed the victim, leading to a group clash. During the fight, the accused allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times in the face and body, resulting in his immediate death. The assailant and his accomplices then fled. Relatives transported the victim to Mayo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The area is under heavy police presence amid heightened tensions. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the full sequence of events and motive. Senior Inspector Praveen Kale of Kalamna police station stated that none of the teenagers involved have prior criminal records. "The rival boys were chasing the same girl. There were repeated spats, but no one appeared before the police to lodge any complaint in the past," Kale said, adding that forensic teams have examined the scene.
