Palghar Crime: Young Woman Allegedly Attacked With Knife Near Vasai Fort, Case Registered

A crime reported in Mumbai's Vasai fort area, where a 21-year-old woman got attacked with knife fuelled by a dispute over a friendship. This incident has left the young woman seriously injured and she is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Following the incident, Vasai police has registered a case of attempted murder against the accused. According to FPJ report, the victim has been identified as Answita Donald Patil around 5.15 p.m. on Wednesday May 13 near the Datta Mandir Road area, adjacent to the historic Vasai Fort.

Sanchit Dominic Bala allegedly attacked Answita in a fit of rage due to resentment over her friendship with Rohit Kapi. According to police reports, Bala intercepted Answita in the fort vicinity, where he threatened her during a heated argument before slashing her neck with a knife. Locals rushed the severely injured victim to the hospital. The brutal attack in a public area has shocked the community.

Bala fled the scene, but Vasai police formed investigation teams to apprehend him. A police official stated that a case has been registered for attempted murder and teams were dispatched to find the suspect and investigate the surrounding area. Answita is under medical supervision, and her condition is being closely monitored.
