25 people were injured, two of them seriously, after a private luxury bus travelling from Borivali in Mumbai to Sapirli in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, overturned in the early hours of Thursday, March 6. The accident reportedly occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The injured passengers were shifted to Kalambani Sub-District Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, another accident occurred around 6 am on Thursday at Kage Shivara on the Shegaon–Pandharpur National Highway. An ST bus (MH 20 BL 3555) travelling from Kolhapur to Majalgaon rammed into a truck that was parked on the side of the road. Thirteen passengers, including the bus driver and conductor, were injured in the accident.
After receiving information about the incident, Police Sub-Inspector Sukumar Bansode and his team, under the guidance of Police Inspector Swapnil Unawane, rushed to the spot. The injured were taken to the Sub-District Hospital in Kage in an ambulance arranged by Sumit Telang. After primary treatment, those seriously injured were shifted to Swami Ramanand Tirtha Rural Hospital and Medical College in Ambajogai for further treatment.
