Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has slammed the Narcotics Control Bureau for summoning Bollywood celebrities in connection to the drugs-probe, that surfaced post Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death. Hitting out at the investigating agency, Sanjay Raut was quoted by ANI, “Narcotics Control Bureau's job is to prevent drug smuggling, but here they are calling one person after the other. In which field, there is no addiction? Some have an addiction to money, some have other addictions.” While speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut also questioned, "who doesn’t take drugs? Why target people from one industry?" and added that "NCB must prevent drug smuggling". 

Raut further commented on the ongoing probe by NCB and said, "NCB's job is to crack on narcotics substance which comes via different channels but now NCB is probing single person which is the job of agency of different agencies. I won't comment on what people have to speak on the probe." When asked about Deepika Padukone involved in the drug chats, Raut said, "she should speak on all this by herself."The NCB had summoned Rakul Preet Singh today for questioning and was interrogated for nearly four hours. According to Times Now, NCB sources have revealed that the actress has named four celebrities and also alleged that Kshitij Prasad used to supply narcotics substance to them.On Saturday, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have been asked to appear before the NCB. Deepika and Sara were in Goa, but arrived in the city on Thursday, ahead of their meeting with the investigating agency.
