Maharashtra school education minister Varsha Gaikwad on Thursday said board examinations for classes 10th and 12th will be held as per the schedule declared.

While the health of students is our primary concern, we also want to make sure that their academic year does not go to waste, said the minister.

Earlier the minister had denied reports that classes 10th and 12th exams has been canceled due to the surge in coronavirus cases in the state.

In schools where coronavirus cases have been found, local authorities have been directed to ensure that necessary hygiene and disinfection measures are taken, the minister had said.

When is the 10th exam? (SSC Exam Schedule) :

Std 10th (SSC Exam) written exams will be held from April 29 to May 20, the state education board has announced.

When is the 12th standard exam? (HSC Exam Schedule):

The written examination for Class 12 (HSC Exam) will be held from 23rd April to 21st May.
