Everyone has the right to education under the Right to Education Act. Due to coronavirus pandemic many parents lost their jobs and many incurred loss in their businesses. Financial problems have made it difficult for parents to pay for their children's education. As a result, some parents could not pay school fees of their kids. Such students have been deprived of education by some educational institutions. They have been not getting access to online classes. Many have sent school leaving certificates to students at their home.

Educational institutions and managers cannot keep any students away from schooling. School Education Minister Prof Varsha Gaikwad has directed to submit a proposal to de-recognize such schools in case of complaints such as pressure to pay fees and expulsion from schools. The education minister has directed the education authorities to take stern action by de-recognizing the schools who are involved in such illegal activities.
