The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar's relative, Harshita Narwekar won from Ward No 225 Colaba in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026.
Harshita Narvekar of the BJP got 11307 votes, while Shiv Sena Shinde's candidate received 5702 votes, while Shiv Sena UBT's Ajinkya Ashok Dhatrak got 6423 votes and Nota got 422 votes.
A total of 11 candidates were in the fray from Ward No. 225 of BMC in Mumbai. The candidates included Ajinkya Ashok Dhatrak of the Shiv Sena UBT, winning candidate Harshita Ashwin Narvekar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sujata Digvijay Sanap of the Shiv Sena Shine faction, Deepak Silan of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) candidate Vishal Rahul Jaunjal.

Others contesting the election were independent candidates Praveen Narendra Kolabkar, John Anthony Michael D’Souza, Tony Louis Fernandes, Dinesh Vallabhdas Samaiya, Sneha Deepak Visariya, and Mohammad Aslam Sheikh.
With candidates from major political parties as well as several independents in the race, the contest in Ward No. 225 was closely fought, with keen interest in which way voters would swing.
