A severe water shortage has gripped the Ayre Gaon area of Dombivli, leaving residents struggling to meet their daily water needs. With irregular and insufficient municipal supply, many households are now forced to purchase water for everyday use.

Due to the disruption in regular tap water supply, residents have been relying on private tankers and packaged water cans. In several parts of the locality, people can be seen transporting heavy water cans on bicycles and autorickshaws to their homes. The situation has caused significant inconvenience, particularly for women and elderly citizens, who are bearing the brunt of the crisis.

Locals claim that water supply has been highly erratic over the past several days. In some pockets, taps have reportedly run dry for two consecutive days, forcing families to stand in long queues or depend entirely on purchased water. The shortage has further intensified amid rising temperatures, increasing the demand for water. Residents have urged the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) to take immediate action to restore regular supply and provide alternative arrangements. They have demanded urgent intervention to prevent the situation from worsening.
