Goregaon Concert Deaths: Seventh Accused Arrested, Probe Intensifies in Vanrai Drugs Party Case
In a significant development in the Vanrai drugs party case, the Vanrai Police have arrested one more accuest in connection with the drug overdose deaths of two people during a live music concert in Goregaon. With this, the total number of arrests in the case has reached seven.
According to police officials, the seventh accused is allegedly linked to a drug supply syndicate. The police are currently on the lookout for the main Accused, who is believed to be the key person responsible for supplying drugs at live concerts and large parties across the city.
The accused was arrested late night and is scheduled to be produced before the court today.
The case pertains to the death of two students due to alleged drug overdose during a music concert held at the Nesco Center in Goregaon, Mumbai. As the investigation progresses, new revelations are coming to light.
During the probe, Vanrai Police discovered that drugs were being consumed openly at the live concert. It was also found that drugs were transported from Kalyan to Mumbai through carriers and later sold to students at such events.
Further investigation has revealed that a consignment of MDMA drugs was supplied just a day before the concert, on April 10.
Police officials have stated that efforts are underway to trace the main supplier and dismantle the entire drug network involved in supplying narcotics at public events.
The investigation in the case is still ongoing.
