Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday inaugurated the Tech-Wari 2.0 training programme at the Trimutri courtyard in Mantralaya as part of Maharashtra’s Tech-Learning Week initiative, marking the launch of the state government’s ambitious five-day capacity-building exercise for employees. Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar and Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha were also present during the ceremony. The programme, scheduled from May 4 to 8, is aimed at equipping government employees with future-ready skills through technology-driven learning modules and expert-led sessions. The initiative forms part of Maharashtra’s broader “Journey Towards Future-Ready Governance” mission, focusing on strengthening administrative efficiency through modern training practices and digital outreach across departments statewide.
Officials said Tech-Wari 2.0 is expected to witness participation from more than 6,000 government employees physically at the venue, while nearly nine lakh employees across Maharashtra are likely to attend through live streaming facilities. The government has designed the initiative as a hybrid learning platform to ensure large-scale accessibility and seamless departmental participation. Sessions during the programme will cover topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, ethics in governance, digital administration and emerging technologies like quantum computing. Additional Chief Secretary V. Radha stated that the initiative is not restricted to technical education alone and also includes yoga, mindfulness, meditation, music and art sessions to promote the holistic development and overall well-being of government employees.

Explaining the concept behind the initiative, V. Radha compared Tech-Wari 2.0 to the traditional Pandharpur pilgrimage, saying the programme symbolises collective effort, discipline and continuous learning. She described it as a structured journey that enables government employees to gradually strengthen their capabilities and adapt to rapidly evolving governance requirements. Officials added that the programme is intended to function as a large-scale onboarding process into modern governance systems, helping the administrative workforce stay prepared for future challenges. The initiative follows a massive statewide learning drive conducted in April 2026, where over 8.8 lakh employees completed training through the iGOT Karmayogi platform, collectively logging nearly 35 lakh learning hours in subjects related to technology, law and public policy.
