Mumbai Local Train Sunday Megablock: Like every weekend Railway will carry out maintenance work across its local train suburban network on Sunday, February 22. The essential maintenance includes track alignment, overhead wire fixing and solving signalling issues. However, this weekend, the block will be imposed by Central Railway (CR) in Central and Harbour lines. No Sunday Megablock in the Western line as it will operate as per the normal schedule.
Central Line
A total of five hour block will be imposed in Central line by Central Railway on both Up and Down slow lines between Mulund and Thane from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Kalyan/Karjat/Kasara between 10:04 am and 3:09 pm will be diverted onto the Fast track between Mulund and Thane. These trains will be rerouted back to the Slow track at Thane and are expected to run approximately 10 minutes behind schedule.

Trains from Kalyan railway station between 10:36 am and 3:24 pm will use the Fast track between Thane and Mulund. All local services arriving at or departing from CSMT between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm are likely to face delays of at least 10 minutes throughout the afternoon.
Harbour Line
The Harbour line will face a more significant disruption, with all services between Vashi and Panvel suspended from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm. Local trains from CSMT to Belapur/Panvel departing between 9:45 am and 3:12 pm, Up services from Panvel to CSMT, departing between 10:33 am and 3:49 pm, have been cancelled. To assist commuters, the railway will operate special local trains on the CSMT–Vashi section during the block period.

Trans-Harbour Line
The Trans-Harbour line will see partial operations on Sunday. Services between Thane and Panvel will be cancelled between 11:05 am and 4:05 pm. Consequently, the line will only remain operational on the Thane–Vashi stretch during these hours.
Note: No day blocks for the Western Line or the Uran Line.
