Mumbai Local Train Update: Central Railway Announces Power Block At Kasara; THESE Trains To Face Disruptions Today
Central Railway has announced a special traffic and power block at Kasara railway station on Wednesday, May 7, affecting suburban train operations on the route. According to railway authorities, the power block will remain in effect from 3.50 pm to 5.50 pm. During this period, local train services on both the UP and DOWN lines between Asangaon and Kasara stations will remain suspended. As a result, several suburban trains have either been short-terminated or short-originated at Asangaon and Kasara stations. The railway administration has urged commuters to check revised schedules before beginning their journey to avoid inconvenience and overcrowding at affected stations.
Several Kasara-bound local trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) will operate only up to Asangaon during the block period. Train No. Kasara 19, departing at 1.10 pm, will terminate at Asangaon at 3.22 pm. Train No. Kasara 21, which leaves CSMT at 2.17 pm, will arrive at Asangaon at 4.04 pm. Similarly, Train No. Kasara 23, departing from CSMT at 2.46 pm, will also be short-terminated at Asangaon at 4.49 pm. Railway officials said the temporary operational changes are necessary to safely complete maintenance work related to the power block and ensure smooth functioning of the railway infrastructure.
