Mumbai local train services are running late by about 10 to 12 minutes on the Western Line in the early hours of Friday, January 16. According to reports, Churchgate bound 06.54 am local arrived at 06.06 am at the Malad Railway Station.
Platforms on the Western line were crowded during morning hours, frustrating commuters and office goers on the weekday. There is no official confirmation or statement from the Western Railway (WR) regarding disruption in local train services.
Meanwhile, WR to imposed "major blocks" between Kandivali and Borivali railway stations due to the continuation of the ongoing work for the construction of the 6th line. The night block has been imposed on the night of January 16 (Friday), 17 (Saturday) and on the interview night of January 17 (Saturday) and January 18 (Sunday).

During the block period, Mumbai local train services between Borivali and Malad will remain cancelled or regulated. The restrictions will be imposed on Up fast line from 11.23 pm to 3.15 am and on the Down fast line between 1 am to 4.30 am.
