A tragedy reported at construction building, were a 30-year-old worker died after falling from the 20th floor. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in Malad's Evershine Nagar within the jurisdiction of Bangur Nagar police station.
Following the incident the case has been registered against the site supervisor, safety supervisor, and contractor for alleged negligence and failure to ensure safety arrangements under Sections 106(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 against the site supervisor, safety supervisor, and contractor for alleged negligence and failure to ensure safety arrangements.
Earlier, a 23-year-old labourer died after falling from the 13th floor of an under-construction building in Borivali. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Shakeel Sheikh, a native of Katihar district in Bihar. His family has alleged that negligence on the part of the contractor and project management led to the fatal incident.
The incident took place at an under-construction site named ‘The Castle Solidago’, located opposite IC Church in Borivali (West). For the past two and a half months, work related to installation of a car parking lift was being carried out at the site by RR Parkon company, where Shakeel was employed.
