Pro-Iran Protest in Mumbai: Demonstration in Govandi After Death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Huge protests were reported in Mumbai's Govandi area on Sunday afternoon, March 1, after the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in US-Israel strikes. A video shared shows a large number of the Muslim community gathered on the road with banners and portrait of carried by people mourning the death of Khamenei.

Meanwhile, protest also seen in Jammu and Kashmir's Kargil area, where a procession was held in remembrance of the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The procession was held under the banner of the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust and witnessed the participation of thousands of men, women, and children from across the district, according to the news agency ANI.

People of Delhi also condemned the killing of Ali Khamenei. Maulana Janan Asghar Maulai, President of the All India Shia Council breaks down while speaking to the media, saying, "Personality who has been martyred, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was a guide for Muslims across the world. He was not only Iran’s Supreme Leader but also a spiritual and religious leader for the entire Islamic community..."

Another protestor said, "First of all, after meeting each other, the United States and Israel have taken a cowardly step. He (Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) worked for humanity and for the good of mankind. That is why the All India Shia Council has gathered here today to mourn the martyrdom..."
