63-yr-old Jaiswal sets new record

The event was organised by Jai Mata Di Samiti, Pipariya. According to available information, no official record for the longest continuous swimming in the Narmada River had previously been documented, making this achievement particularly significant.

On the completion of the record, a felicitation ceremony was held where several dignitaries, and prominent citizens of Pipariya were present to honour Dr. Jaiswal.

While addressing mediapersons at SJAN office on saturday, Dr. Rajendra Jaiswal said, "

"I was inspired by the Fit India Movement initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through this attempt, my goal was to motivate the youth towards fitness, promote cleanliness of the Narmada River, and encourage tourism in the region."

Asked about his future plans, Dr Jaiswal said, With a view to promote the Indian rivers, I will undertake such expdtitions in different rivers".

Dr. Rajendra Jaiswal, popularly known as RJ, has several remarkable endurance achievements to his credit. At the age of 62, he successfully completed the Full Ironman California in the USA, becoming the first Indian to achieve this feat at that age.

A world record of running 81 km non-stop while carrying the Indian tricolor in 12.5 hours

During the COVID period, completing 85 km indoors in his drawing room in 13 hours without stopping, another world record.

Dr. Jaiswal’s journey is particularly inspiring for the youth. About 13 years ago, doctors advised surgery for both his knees, but through discipline, determination, and fitness training, he recovered without surgery and has since emerged as a global inspiration in endurance sports.

His mantors Sanjay Batw and Dr. Amit Samarth Dr. Sunita Dhote, Ayush Dhabekar and others were present at the press conference. Dr Jaiswal also attributes the credit of his success to Ganesh Kshirsagar, Dilip Bhoyar, Sandeep Sharmaji , Manoj Rathji and many other supporters who guided and motivated him throughout his journey.
