AG Maharashtra record another win

Maharashtra topped the table with 6 points from 2 matches while AG Rajasthan and AG Gujarat shared a point each with match tied at 1-1. These matches are being played on Round-Robin basis at South East Central Railway Stadium, Motibagh, Nagpu.

In the match between A.G. Maharashtra and A.G. Chhattisgarh, Akbar Siddhique of AG Maharashtra opened the team’s account with a well placed goal in the seventh minute of the match, when Zahid Akhtar feeded him the ball from top of the Dee. Then again via same combination, Akbar Siddhique NP scored again to consolidate the score with 2-0 in the 16th minute. In the second half, Aakar Dhanu scored third goal of the match to make it 3-0, when he got a pass from Jang Bahadur Singh. Score read 3-0 at the final whistle in favour of AG Maharashtra. Afzal Akhtar of AG Maharashtra was awarded player of the Match.

In the match between A.G. Gujarat[ and A.G. Rajasthan, Prateek Sharma of AG Rajasthan opened the team’s account with a classic header in the 22ndminute of the match, when he got the rebound from the goalkeeper from a direct kick from Ajay Saini. Deepesh Pun of A.G. Gujarat, equalized in the 29th minute, when he got a rebound from the Rajasthan goalkeeperto a 20 yard powerful kick by Ankit Javalkoti. Shashank Mamgain of AG Gujarat was awarded player of the Match.

Two matches will be played on the fourth day of the tournament between AG Madhya Pradesh and AG Maharashtra at 9.00 am and between AG Rajasthan v/s AG Chhattisgarh at 11.00 am.
