Nagpur, May 30

Petrol, diesel and other petroleum products will be come down by 50 per cent, if brought under GST regime.

For this reason, the All India Customer Panchayat has demanded the government to bring 18 per cent of the fuel under the GST. Grahak Panchayat Vidarbha president Gajanan Pandey said that the rates of petrol and diesel have increased significantly. Due to this, the cost of goods transportation and travel has also increased.

Inflation has increased significantly due to that. At present, the consumers are highly affected by inflation. It is not appropriate to push them into the gap of inflation. The rate of gas cylinder has also reached `870.

Earlier, the union finance minister had assured to bring petrol and diesel under GST and the State finance minister had also assured to reduce tax on Petrol and Diesel in the budget.

But now the state and central government have forgotten these assurances. In such a situation, the demand for bringing petrol and diesel under the GST has been made by Pandey along with Sanjay Dharmadhikari, secretary, Grakak Panchayat, district coordiation minister Ganesh Shirole, district president Praveen Sharma, city president Anirudh Gupte, secretary Uday Diva and other officials demanded.
