Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis, who came for a meeting convened by Guardian Minister Nitin Raut on the issue of lockdown in Nagpur, said that lockdown is not a solution but we will support whatever decision will be taken by the administration. The meeting was held on Saturday, during which the rising number of covid cases in the city was discussed. Fadnavis while interacting with the media said a complete lockdown is not the answer.

A complete lockdown will create a lot of difficulties for the common man. Therefore, he opined that normal lives should function by imposing strict restrictions. There are 88 vaccination centers in Nagpur city. The number of vaccination centres should be increased to 151. Every day 8 to 10 thousand citizens are vaccinated. The numbers should go up to 40,000.

He also suggested that sub-centers should be started for vaccination and help of NGOs should be sought in this work. Government hospitals are running out of space due to the growing number of patients. Private Covid Hospitals should be started again. It was also suggested that despite being home quarantine, those who go out should be caught and taken to the quarantine center. "We will work together to implement the decision of the administration," he said.
