Senior national woodball tourney from March 22

The meeting held at Ravi Bhavan was presided over by Maharashtra Woodball Association president Kumar Masram. General secretary Ajay Sontakke, senior vice president Kishor Bagde, treasurer Praveen Manvatkar and special guest Canada Woodball president Muzammil Ahmed were present.

It was decided to run the Woodball Federation as per the Central Government's Sports Code 2011. The selection of potential teams for the Asian Woodball Championship and the World Masters Cup Woodball Championship will be held in Nagpur and then a preparation camp will be organszed in Jammu and Kashmir in April. It was also decided to appoint five international coaches. Federation president MLA Dr. Ashish Deshmukh visited the general meeting. MLA Deshmukh felicitated Dr. Sushma Manvatkar, Hemant Payer and Sagar Sawant, who passed the international referee exam. Representatives of various state and union territory organisations were present on the occasion.
