Nagpur, April 16

Sindhu Mahavidyalaya won the Annual Krikmania Inter-College Cricket Tournament defeating Dhanwate National College, the other day. The tournament was organised by VNIT at its playfield. In the final, Sindhu Mahavidyalaya overcame Dhanwate National College by 10 runs. Batting first, Sindhu scored 134 runs from 20 overs. Mohammad Asif top-scored with 55-ball 55 runs. In reply, DNC managed to score 124 runs losing seven wickets. Sindhu Mahavidyalaya received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 11,000 while DNC got Rs 7,000. Earlier, VNIT and Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) lost their semi-final matches to Sindhu and DNC. Total 16 colleges took part in the competition.Mohammad Asif was named as best batsman for scoring 254 runs and Deepesh Vaswani of SMV was declared as the best fielder of the tournament.
