Six kho kho players to be honoured on May 21

The selection of players for the Sports Ratna Award was finalized in a joint meeting attended by the association’s secretary Chandrakant Asole, chief referee Rajeshwar Movade, Yogesh Ghughuskar, along with coaches and managers of all teams. All award-winning players will be honored with a memento and a cash prize of ₹5,000. Additionally, players, coaches, and managers of Nagpur district’s Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior teams will also be felicitated with gifts for winning the Vidarbha Kho-Kho Championship.

Mayor Neeta Thakre will be the chief guest on the occaison. Central Nagpur MLA Pravin Datke and Legislative Council Member Prof. Sanjay Bhende will be the guests of honours. Dr. Babanrao Taywade, president of Sachchidanand Shikshan Sanstha will preside over the funciton.

Young politician Salil Deshmukh and president of Stree Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Ravindra Fadnavis,will also be prominently present at the function.

All office-bearers of the Amateur Kho-Kho Association, Nagpur District, along with Kho-Kho enthusiasts across Nagpur district, are making efforts to ensure the grand success of the event.
