Nagpur, Oct 20

After the relaxation of lockdown rules, Indian Railways has been running trains on various routes. Special trains will be launched during the festive season as well as during the peak season. Special charges will be levied for these special trains. The railway administration has clarified that these charges are as per the rules.

Like last year, special Puja trains have been planned for the festival. The average special fee charged by the railways is less than the total cost of running these trains. Even if all the tickets available on these special trains are reserved with special charges, the cost of operating these special trains will be higher. Therefore, the railway administration will not get any benefit from this. These special trains have been planned keeping in view the convenience of the passengers, informed Shivaji Sutar, chief public relations officer, Central Railway.
