Local train services were running late at least 25 to 30 minutes on Tuesday morning, April 21, amid rainfall and thunderstorms in Navi Mumbai and Raigad district. Unseasonal rainfall and train delays frustrate early morning commuters and office goers during peak hours.

According to the information, a huge crowd of commuters was seen at the Diva Railway station as CSMT-bound trains from Kalyan and Thane were delayed by about 30 minutes.

Frustrated commuters took to social media platforms to complain to Central Railway about the train delay issues. One of the Mumbai local train commuters shared a screen recording video of a smartphone showing several trains towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) from Panvel and Kalyan delayed.

A local train commuter wrote, "This is the daily condition of the Central Railway Mumbai local train schedule. Average 15 to 20 mins late everyday due to which people rush risking their lives and accidents occur. When all offices timings are tracked then why not railway employees timings not track."

Local train traffic was affected on the second consecutive day today after a derailment near Dombivli station on Monday, which had led to a delay of several train services.
