A shocking case of domestic violence involving a woman public representative has come to light in Nashik, creating a major uproar in the city. The elected woman representative has accused her doctor husband of subjecting her to severe physical and mental harassment over the past several years. According to the complaint filed by the victim, the abuse allegedly began in April 2021 and continued repeatedly inside their residence. The woman alleged that the accused used to assault her over minor issues, including disputes related to changing her name. She further claimed that her husband demanded Rs 3 crore from her and intensified the harassment when the demand was not fulfilled.

The victim stated that the accused doctor allegedly treated her in an inhuman manner by forcing her to sleep overnight on a cold floor and making her stand continuously for several hours. She also alleged that she was confined inside the house and prevented from contacting anyone outside, including family members and acquaintances. According to the complaint, the torture crossed all limits when the accused allegedly kicked her in the stomach, resulting in the death of the unborn child she was carrying. The woman further accused her husband of attempting to kill her by strangling her and trying to throw her off the terrace of the building during one of the violent incidents.
