The second wave of corona in the country has subsided. But the threat of a third wave persists. Therefore, efforts are being made to speed up the vaccination campaign in the country. Covishield is being used mainly in vaccination campaigns. However, it has been reported that 11 people who have taken AstraZeneca-Oxford's vaccine have contracted a rare disease. Eleven people who have been vaccinated have been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS). This is according to two separate studies conducted by experts in India and the United Kingdom. The Indian Express has reported about this.

In Kerala, seven people contracted Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) after being vaccinated against Covishield. These individuals were vaccinated at the same vaccination center.About 12 lakh people have been vaccinated at this vaccination center so far. In Nottingham, Britain, four people have been diagnosed with Gillian Barr syndrome. A total of 7 lakh people in the area have been vaccinated against AstraZeneca. The Serum vaccine is known as Astrazeneca in Britain and Covishield in India.

Seven people in Kerala and four in Nottingham have been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS). All of them had been vaccinated against Covishield 10 to 22 days ago. After Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the peripheral nervous system outside the brain and spinal cord. This was studied by experts from Kerala and Nottingham. The report was published in a magazine on June 10.
