A clash broke out between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP workers during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process at Asansol Old Station High School in West Bengal, triggering chaos in the area. Several people were reportedly injured, though the exact number has not been officially confirmed.
The TMC workers alleged that the revision process was underway peacefully before BJP workers arrived at the school and attacked TMC supporters, leaving multiple people injured.

The BJP, however, rejected the allegations and accused TMC supporters of initiating the violence. BJP leaders claimed that their workers were attacked during the SIR process and that the accusations against the party were baseless.

"When TMC is in power and the administration is under them, how is it possible that BJP people could attack them? This is not possible. This is public outrage," said BJP leader Agnimitra Paul.
Following the alleged assault at the school, located under the Asansol South in Bhanga Panchil police station area, TMC workers staged a road blockade in protest. Police later intervened and persuaded the protesters to clear the road, assuring them that those responsible for the violence would be arrested.
