COVID-19 tally in Assam rises to 595

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam has risen to 595, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam has risen to 595, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday.

"There are 526 active cases. 65 persons have been discharged/migrated while four persons have succumbed to the coronavirus," he added.

A total of 1,45,380 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in India. 60,491 persons have recovered or migrated, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday.

There are 80,722 active cases of COVID-19 in the country at present. 4,167 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus in the country to date.
