A 34-year-old man was shot dead in the early hours of Monday, April 20, after a parking dispute in Delhi's Preet Vihar area. The incident occurred after an argument between Pankaj Nayyar and his brother Paras on one side and Gaurav Sharman on the other side.

The argument turned into a physical altercation, in which Gaurav Sharma allegedly opened fire, and bullets struck Pankaj Nayyar in the chest. The incident occurred at around 2.20 am. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police have registered an FIR under charges of murder (BNS Section 103(1)), voluntarily causing hurt (Section 115(2)), and acts done with common intention (Section 3(5)), along with Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the accused at the earliest, police added.
