Several localities in Delhi will be facing power outage on Sunday, March 8, 2026. BSES Rajdhani (BRPL) has released a schedule for power shutdowns in several major divisions in Delhi due to maintenance work. This supply disruption will be for 1 to 3 hours for the transformer repairs and tree trimming and feeder maintenance.
The impact will be particularly felt in many areas of West and South Delhi.
Delhi Power Cut Schedule List
Nehru Place and Okhla: From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, power will be cut off in the industrial areas of Nehru Place and Okhla Phase 3 due to transformer maintenance.
Janakpuri: The District Center (Janakpuri) will also experience a power outage from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Saket and Sarvodaya Enclave: Power supply will be disrupted in MMTC Colony and Sarvodaya Enclave from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
East Delhi: Major power outage in Nangloi and Mundka
In addition to maintenance work, tree trimming will also be carried out in the Nangloi and Mundka areas:
Nangloi: Major residential areas like Naresh Park, Amanpuri, Kamruddin Nagar, Laxmi Park, and Vandana Vihar will experience a three-hour power outage from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Udyog Nagar: There will be a three-hour power outage in Udyog Nagar, Mangolpuri, due to tree trimming near a transformer.
Repair work in Najafgarh and Khanpur
Najafgarh: The HT bushing rod of a transformer in Durga Vihar-II, Deenpur, will be replaced, resulting in a power outage from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Khanpur: HVDS maintenance work will affect power supply in Sangam Vihar and Khanpur Extension from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Reason Behind Power Suspension
Before the monsoon and strong winds, it is essential to prune trees growing near power lines to prevent branches from hitting the wires and causing short circuits or faults. Therefore, this special drive will be launched tomorrow in Nangloi and Mundka.

Authorities have alerted residents to keep your laptop, mobile phone, and power bank charged before 10 am and do work related to the electricity before cuts.
