Family of 5 returning from Statue of unity goes missing

A family of five from Vadodara has been missing from the Dabhoi region of Vadodara after visiting the Statue of Unity on Sunday. They were last captured in the CCTV footage at the Dabhoi Junction.

Gandhinagar, March 4 A family of five from Vadodara has been missing from the Dabhoi region of Vadodara after visiting the Statue of Unity on Sunday. They were last captured in the CCTV footage at the Dabhoi Junction.

A missing complaint has been filed by the police and investigations are on.

Kalpesh Parmar, his wife Tirupati, mother Usha, daughter Niyati (9) and son Atharva (7) visited the Statue of Unity on Sunday. The family was travelling in their their personal vehicle to the statue site.

According to the police, the family's relatives filed a complaint that the family has gone missing since Sunday and that their cell phones have been switched off.

"The family had left Kevadia at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and reached Dabhoi in the night. After that their whereabouts are not known. A missing complaint has been filed at the Dabhoi police station. The family was last captured in the CCTV footage placed at the JayVeer hotel in Dabhoi. The vehicle seems to be heading towards Vadodara. The police investigations are on," A.M. Parmar, the Police Inspector, told .
