Former Pune bank manager gets 10 years jail for fraud

A special CBI court here has sentenced, to 10 years rigorous imprisonment, a former branch manager of the Bank of Maharashtra for causing a loss of Rs 2.56 crore to the bank.

Pune, Feb 20 A special CBI court here has sentenced, to 10 years rigorous imprisonment, a former branch manager of the Bank of Maharashtra for causing a loss of Rs 2.56 crore to the bank.

A fine of Rs 24 lakh was also slapped on Shaliwahan Solegaonkar.

Another accused Rakesh Jadhav was given a three year term of rigorous imprisonment and a Rs 10,000 penalty.

The scam was committed between 2009-2017.
