An explosion at house in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district left five people dead while 20 others got injured. This incident occurred on Wednesday April 15 morning in Kummaravandla Palli village of Kadiri mandal.
According to reports Detonators and gas cylinders stored in the house of a worker, exploded demolishing the entire house. Some adjoining houses were also damaged in the huge explosion. Firefighters and police responded to the scene to conduct rescue and relief operations. Authorities are investigating the illegal storage of explosives, including four detonators, and gas cylinders found in the house.
Home Minister V. Anitha expressed shock and grief over the tragic incident that claimed five lives. She spoke with the Sri Sathya Sai district Collector and Superintendent of Police to gather details and directed them to expedite relief operations and provide the best medical care to the injured. Anitha assured the victims' families of the government's full support.
Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu also expressed deep anguish and ordered advanced medical care for the injured, with specialized medical teams monitoring the 12 critically injured individuals. The district administration immediately accelerated relief operations and ordered a full-scale inquiry into the storage of detonators at the site. The minister directed officials to implement strict measures to prevent future incidents and assured the affected families of the government's unwavering support.
