Gujarat Horror: Tenant Allegedly Allowed Landlord to Assault Wife and Minor Daughter Over Rent Dues

In shocking turn of events landlord allegedly sexually exploited a woman and 13-year-old daughter repeatedly over unpaid dues. This disturbing incident came to light from Morbi, where a landlord and a tenant have been arrested. As reported by TOI,  on May 1 at the Morbi City A Division Police Station by the victims’ mother and grandmother under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to TOI, police report that a family relocated to Morbi six months ago for work and rented a house for Rs 2,000 per month. The tenant's business losses led to unpaid rent, during which time the landlord allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulted the woman and her 13-year-old daughter, according to the complaint.

According to police reports cited by TOI, a woman was allegedly assaulted at several locations in Tankara, including her rented home, the landlord's property, and another location. The complaint also alleges that a relative of the landlord sexually assaulted her. Police are searching for family members and associates of the accused who are suspected of aiding or abetting the crime.

The tenant's husband was previously arrested and remains in jail, according to Y B Jadeja. The 55-year-old landlord was produced in court on Thursday, initially remanded for one-day custodial interrogation, and subsequently placed in judicial custody. Due to the involvement of a minor, police have invoked the POCSO Act.
