"The police investigation is on. The final report is yet to come," the civic body's Joint Commissioner Rama Krishna told .

Refusing to accept scuttlebutts that the lake was breached to arrest seeping of water into a nearby temple, Krishna said until the police submitted their report he couldn't say any thing.

Isha Pant, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru East, reiterated that the investigation was on to find people responsible for the 'man-made' disaster. "We are trying to get to the bottom of the issue," Pant told .

She said there was no contract or tender whose work could be connected to the Hulimavu's breach.

The Hulimavu Lake breach occurred on Sunday afternoon due to a manmade cause, flooding hundreds of houses in the vicinity.

Despite the civic body continuing to run the relief camp, Krishna said affected people had stopped to make use of it as they returned to their homes. "Relief camp is still open, but people have stopped coming. They returned to their houses. We may close the relief camp tomorrow (Thursday)," said Krishna.

The civic body had disbursed Rs 50,000 cash relief to 156 Hulimavu Lake breach affected households. Material support included a food kit, consisting of 10 kg rice, 5 kg raagi, 5 kg wheat, soaps, tooth brushes, tooth paste, sarees and clothes.

According to Krishna, the lake breach victims didn't contract any diseases.
