Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, May 10, congratulated TVK chief C Joseph Vijay for taking oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister at Nehru Stadium in Chennai, in the presence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, sitting next to him.

PM Modi in a X post assured the Central government will work with "The Tamil Nadu Government to improve the lives of people."

“Congratulations to Thiru C. Joseph Vijay on taking oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Best wishes for his tenure ahead. The Central Government will keep working with the Tamil Nadu Government to improve the lives of people," PM Modi in a post on X.

The actor-turned-politician was sworn in as Chief Minister at a grand ceremony held at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday morning. Vijay has become the ninth Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Nine senior leaders of his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), also took oath as ministers in the new cabinet.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Art of Living Ashram on Sunday, May 10. The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend celebrations marking the 70th birthday of spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the 45th foundation year of the Art of Living organisation.
