Jodhpur Accident: Four Dead, Others Injured as Bus Carrying Pilgrims Collides with Dumper in Rajasthan
At least four people have been killed and several others injured after a collision between a bus carrying devotees and a dumper truck in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. The accident occurred on Tuesday, January 20, in the Khairu-Rajiv Gandhi area, specifically near Arna Jharna, while the passengers were returning from a pilgrimage.
The incident took place when a bus carrying 25 pilgrims from the Baba Ramdev Pir Temple was struck by a dumper truck. According to police reports, the accident occurred when another vehicle suddenly came in front of the bus, causing the driver to lose control and collide with the oncoming dumper.

In a swift rescue effort, authorities established a "green corridor" to ensure the rapid transport of the victims to medical facilities. Five ambulances were deployed to the scene to ferry the injured through the city's traffic without delay.

Dr Vikas Rajpurohit, Superintendent of the Mathuradas Mathur Hospital, confirmed that the facility has received 13 of the estimated 25 passengers who were on board. "So far, four people have been confirmed dead," Dr Rajpurohit stated. "Thirteen injured individuals have reached us. While some have sustained serious injuries, including fractures and facial trauma, none currently appear to be in a life-threatening condition."
Police Commissioner Omprakash Paswan confirmed the fatalities and noted that the collision involved heavy impact between the two vehicles. "The injured were transported quickly via five ambulances, and those with critical injuries are now receiving proper medical treatment," Commissioner Paswan said.
