A woman accused four people, including the hotel manager, of gang rape at a hotel in Kalyanpur. The woman alleged that the accused forced her to drink alcohol before committing the sexual assault on her. West Kanpur DCP SM Qasim Abidi said they received a complaint at Kalyanpur Police Station from a woman alleging that she was assaulted and raped by the manager of a hotel along with 2-3 other individuals.
The woman was immediately brought to the police station, and the accused were taken into custody for questioning... Based on the woman's statement, a case was registered under relevant sections of the law, said DCP Abidi.
Abidi said the preliminary investigation into the case has not confirmed the incident. "The police collected CCTV footage from the hotel, which, upon review, did not initially corroborate the woman's allegations," DCP stated.

The victim had gone to a hotel in Kalyanpur on Sunday late evening for some personal work. It is alleged that the hotel manager forcibly made her drink alcohol and, along with his associates, gang-raped her, reported The Times of India.
According to the report, she somehow managed to escape from the hotel and save her life. She said the accused kept chasing and attempting to catch her till road. After receiving the distress call on 112, Kalyanpur police station personnel reached the spot and brought her to the police station.
The victim said before the police arrived, the remaining accused had fled from the scene. "The woman has been sent for a medical examination, and the accused are in custody being interrogated. Further legal proceedings are being conducted based on the evidence gathered," said DCP.
