Kanpur Fire: Blaze Erupted at Grocery Store in Chamanganj Area, Residents Evacuated
A fire broke out at a grocery store in the Chamanganj area of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning, February 20. Seeing smoke rising from the store, residents alerted firefighters and police. Police evacuated eight houses surrounding the store.
The mini control room received information that a shop was ablaze. After receiving the alert, three fire brigade vehicles from Colonelganj and Latouche Road reached the spot on the instructions of the Chief Fire Officer.

Firefighters immediately began extinguishing the flames. The fire started in a grocery store near Rupam Square. Due to the densely populated area, the fire department evacuated people from several nearby houses. It took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. No casualties were reported.
