Karni Sena Chief Suraj Pal Amu, was detained in Delhi for holding candle march in Delhi seeking CBI probe for Sushant Singh Rajput. According to a report in a news portal, Delhi Police on Sunday arrested the Karni Sena Chief  for organizing a protest in violation of cautionary restrictions to contain the spread of Covid-19. Amu was reportedly amongst hundreds who thronged to India Gate demanding a CBI inquiry into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The report also added that hundreds reached India Gate at around 4 pm on Sunday in response to Karni Sena's call for a protest. This invitation was reportedly circulated on social media and WhatsApp groups.

Along with candles, the crowd also held placards that said, "CBI inquiry for Sushant" and "Bollywood Murdabad". Police reportedly apprehended the protesters at the inner circle of India Gate and informed them about the enforcement of Section 144 of CrPC as part of Covid-19 restrictions. The report stated that the Police have identified those detained as Badal Tanwar (Karni Sena's Delhi chief), Dharampal Rajput (Karni Sena Delhi secretary), Manish Singh Rajput (Karni Sena Delhi spokesperson), and Suraj Pal Amu (Karni Sena national convener).They have been reportedly been booked under Section 188 of the IPC and Section 3 of the Epidemic Act along with Section 51.b of the Disaster Management Act. A case has been registered in this regard at the Tilak Marg police station. They were later reportedly released on bail.
